Tallahassee Primary Care Associates (TPCA) is currently hiring for a Full-Time Receptionist/Medical Assistant. This position will also float to the Medical Assistant position as needed for vacations and other coverage. The candidate must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m

Candidate must be an RMA or CMA. Proof of certification is required.

$500 Sign-on Bonus available to qualified MA's, subject to criteria.

The Medical Assistant responsibilities include triaging patients, taking vitals, assisting the doctor with procedures, administering injections, entering patient information into an EMR, answering patient messages, reporting labs and other duties.

The Receptionist will be responsible for the following:

Clerical Work

  • Update patient demographic information, medical releases field, and guarantor information for every patient at the time of their appointment
  • Updates the guarantor information on each patient encounter
  • Monitors for duplicate accounts and reports those found to the supervisor for correction
  • Monitors scheduled appointments to ensure that work related and motor vehicle accident related injuries are not scheduled, and informs patients that the practice does not accept workers compensation insurance in lieu of payment in full at the time of service.
  • Prepare each patient's check-in forms the day prior to the scheduled appointment

Customer Service

  • Answer phone calls promptly
  • Schedule appointments for patients
  • Type and forward phone messages for nurses and providers

Candidate must  be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
